Well, it's 9.30am on Saturday and I'm gearing up to leave. Have said the goodbye's to almost everyone and I'm feeling ready to go-ish... OMG! I'm backing packing Europe for the next 10 weeks!! WTH!!
It's going to be a blast and I'll be keeping you posted with everywhere I go. The packing went well last night [thanks Luke] and although the backpack weighs as much as I do and is in fact as wide as two of me, I think we did alright. Taking the bare essentials really kills your back! It's the annoying thing about traveling to cooler countries first and then the hot ones later, you've got to pack for both seasons.
The now more comprehensive Itinerary is here. Mind you that it's still likely to change as the trip progresses but this is the intended plan. A lot of traveling around so while it'll be a killer on the back with the pack, it'll be an awesome way to meet people. Almost a pity Sweden isn't last because I'm sure after two months of back packing a swedish massage would go down a treat!

So with that, I'm going to go have my last pint of Coopers over a vegimite sandwich, re check that my tickets haven't moved for the 14,000th time and then I'm off :D Wish me luck!
Well I'll tell you what I do know and I can say with certainty. The rest is speculation and hearsay ;) The best kind!
I leave Adelaide on the 30th June in the afternoon en route to Stockholm via Kuala Lumpar and Amsterdam. There is a total of 22 hours of flying and that's not including the stop overs and transfers. But just so you know there is serious agony, it's all in cattle class. I am told that KLM are a good airline so we'll see. There is only so many time you can watch the Bratz movie before feeling the need to stab someone.
At the other end of the trip, I leave Heathrow airport, London on the 6th of September and touch down in Sydney on the morning of the 8th of September... Yeah, 2 days later, hahaha. I've got an eight hour stop over in Kuala Lumpar on the way...
I'll be in Sydney for three days before heading down to Melbourne for four more. I'll get back to Adelaide, my home, on the 15th of September.
The middle bits will go up shortly.
